Eating healthily & ethically sure is easier when you know how to find the tastiest food in town!
I recently tried being vegan for a week, which was awesome, but what made it even better was discovering a whole load of places in Cornwall that serve delicious vegan treats! Here are some of my favourite places:
1 // Archie Browns
(Penzance & Truro – Image Credit)
In the school holidays, my mum and I used to take the train to Penzance specifically to have a delicious lunch at Archie Browns! The salads, the falafels, the soups – everything is so tasty and lovingly made, and their health food store is also great for finding vegan foods to cook at home.
2 // Green Star Natural Store
(nr. Redruth – Image Credit)
The farm shop is great for fresh fruit and veg, but the real gem is their vegan takeaway from Wednesdays to Saturdays. A ‘meal deal’ (main course, salad and dessert) is just £5 and it’s always fantastic; this is my weekly treat now!
3 // Wildebeest
I visited here recently with Olivia and had a gorgeous meal – so very yummy indeed! You definitely need to book a table though, as the cafe itself is very small. Check out my review!
4 // The Lounge
(Truro)
Whenever I’m in Truro, I always head to The Lounge; the decor is totally unique and the food options are all delicious. They have an entire menu dedicated to vegan and gluten free options. Yum!
5 // Good Vibes
(Falmouth – Image Credit)
Another one I have never been to, but according to Alice from Wooden Windowsills, this little cafe has some great vegan options (particularly the breakfasts, apparently!).
6 // The Jam Jar
(Newquay – Image Credit)
Another recommendation – I’ve heard great things about this little cafe. Their vegan and gluten free cakes look amazing!
I’ve been hoping to try Green Star Natural Store for ages! But seriously, get to Good Vibes, their coffe is amazing and their breakfasts, and lunches, and homemade cakes…the list goes on!! :D Alice xx

I’ve never heard of the Green Star Natural store – it’s really close to me too! I’m not vegan/vegetarian but cutting down on meat is something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently, I’ll have to give them a try! :) xx
Archie Browns and Good Vibes on my list :)
Must check out Good Vibes from all these reviews! :)
Good2Go (good2gocornwall on FB) in Perranporth, it’s a vegan food van permanently situated in Perranporth – delicious falafel, hot dogs, chilli and cakes – only open from Easter to October so may have been closed when you were finding places.
That sounds amazing Sam! I’m often in Perranporth with the dog so this would be perfect!
Craftworks street kitchen on lemon quay in Truro (the old hubbox container outside M&S), does amazing veggie burritos and tacos! I just swap the sour cream and cheese for their homemade guacamole. So delicious. They also such a great veggie burger, it’s dairy free but contains egg. Yummy!
Ooh that sounds amazing! Will have to check this out :)
