Sorry for yet another Florence reference, but just look at that colour!
I’ve just returned from a quick trip up to Portreath cliffs to get the most of the Cornish sun in before our holiday (we’re off to Croatia, but the weather forecast is less than great…). How could we resist a peek at a view like this…
Damn, gotta love that 50mm.
June is definitely one of the best months to be in Cornwall; it always seems to have the best weather, while July and August tend to throw curve-balls in the form of torrential rain and storms. We just don’t tell the emmets that…
This afternoon we sat at the edge of the cliffs (not too close, mind – don’t wanna let that plane ticket go to waste!) with a mini picnic of snacks, to watch the world go by. It was so clear we could see for miles, and so warm I could actually sit on the coast in a vest! Trust me this does not happen often.
Words can’t describe how clear, calm and blue the water was today; inviting would be the word of choice. Wish I had prepared in advance with my kayaks!
I like to make a point of reminding myself every now and then how lucky I am to live just 10 minutes from a sight like this – I don’t think I could live any other way. Do you ever see a fantastic view and just… not know what to do with it? Like, it’s so beautiful that you want to bottle it up and take it with you everywhere but you can’t, so you take photos but they don’t even do it justice.
I’ll be thinking of the glorious place when I’m away!
Stunning photos! Days like this are the best!

Thank you <3 and yes they totally are – we'll have to go up there for a dog walk some time! x
We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, aren’t we :)
Yes yes yes :) I loves it x
