Boardmasters Festival 2015 Highlights!
Last weekend, my lovely friend Abbie joined me on a jolly to Boardmasters Festival!
For those who don’t know, Boardmasters is a Cornish-based festival located on the cliffs around Newquay. This year, the headliners included Faithless, Rudimental, Clean Bandit, Bastille and The Darkness, and I have been so excited about going for months!
Here’s my roundup of highlights (including a mixture of my own photos and those taken by the pros @ the festival, because I don’t like being that girl with a camera phone glued to her hand):

1. Setting up our tents in the sun
We were definitely blessed with the weather – it was incredible on both Friday and Saturday (Sunday, not so much). Setting up the tents was…trialling, mainly because I borrowed them off my mum and forgot to practice putting them up beforehand (even though this is a tip I tell everybody to do!).
Once they were up, we had a great time lazing about in the sun at the campsite, and enjoying calling it home for the next few days.

2. Being in the crowd for Faithless
Despite nearly being crushed to death in an accidental pile-up after some idiot fell off another idiot’s shoulders into the crowd, being in the middle of Faithless’ set was definitely a highlight.
NA NA NANA NA NA NANA NA NA NANA NA NA NA!

3. Listening to some incredibly awesome soul/funk/disco DJs on the Corona stage
Anyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with music of the 70s variety, so this was absolutely perfect. And I’m sorry but, look at that view!

4. Laughing about how we couldn’t find anyone who looked older than 16 while watching Rudimental
Seriously, the age range went from 16 to 40 with nothing in between, making us feel just slightly out of place…
I’m not sure why this is a highlight – but it was funny.

5. Clean Bandit live.
I’ve always been a fan of Clean Bandit, and remember seeing them at Boardmasters a few years ago before many people knew who they were. This set completely affirmed my love for them – it was flawless! This was probably my favourite artist of the weekend.
Also, have you seen how beautiful, fit and multi-talented every member of Clean Bandit is?? They are like a group of beautiful-superhuman-models mushed into one awesome group.
So I really failed to take any decent photos myself, but we did have a good time! Unfortunately the rain put us off staying on the Sunday night, so we left after seeing Clean Bandit. I know, we’re pussies. It also meant I missed The Darkness, which I’m gutted about, but being warm and dry and having access to a shower and clean toilet that night made it all better!

Sounds like an amazing time!
This Retro Bowl game functions as a time machine, authentically embodying its retro essence. In my youth, one of the earliest video games I engaged with was Madden on the Super Nintendo.
Great recap of Boardmasters 2015 bitlife! The mix of music, energy, and stunning views really made it unforgettable. Can’t wait for future festivals!
