Business Updates & Things I’ve Been Loving Lately (August 2020)
Hey, remember those days when I would religiously share a monthly / Friday faves post?
Yikes – it’s been a while. 😬
Also remember the days I used to publish a blog post here at least twice a week.
Yikes again.
Obviously lockdown happened and it was hard for me to share adventures and reviews when nothing was really happening and we weren’t allowed out – so that’s a legitimate reason for being less regular with my posts. But since restrictions have eased and I’ve been out more, to be honest, I’ve found it quite hard in general to find the time to come up with words to write…

The Blog & The Business
As some of you know, as well as The Cornish Life, I have a website design and online education business called byRosanna too. Here, I offer brand & website design services for creative freelancers, and create online courses & resources for other business owners looking to improve their marketing skills.
I absolutely love what I do and in the last year or so it’s really started to take off and grow, which I’m incredibly grateful for. However it means I do have less to spend creating content over here on The Cornish Life.

The thing is, I still go out and have fun adventures, and balance my work with living my life outside pretty well. I take lots of photos and share lots to my Instagram Stories, but finding the time to write words to accompany these photos here on the blog is hard – and it also requires a lot of mental energy, which I find I just don’t have at the end of a long day sat at my desk working on my business.
I’m not here to complain or that I’m giving up on blog posts – I’ll still be posting here as often as I can – I just wanted to share an update on why it’s quieter around here than it used to be a couple of years ago. But if you want to stay up to date on my day-to-day adventures, definitely follow me on Instagram and keep an eye on my Stories instead.

Something really exciting that I’ve been working incredibly hard on over the past few months has been developing a suite of online courses about content marketing – including Blogging, Pinterest marketing, Email marketing, Instagram marketing etc. It’s called The Content Marketing Collection and it launched last week!
So if you have a small business and you’re looking to learn how to promote yourself online, do go and check that out; there’s a 20% discount available until 7th August ☺️

Things I’ve Been Loving Lately…
Earrings from Best Makes Cornwall*
The girls from Best Makes Cornwall got in touch with me to send me a few pairs of their handmade clay earrings and oh my gosh – I’m obsessed! They have so many beautiful designs it is basically impossible to choose, but I can’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for some gorgeous statement pieces.

I got my hair done finally!
… and I had quite a bit chopped off! I couldn’t wait to go blonder again for summer, and I absolutely love this new length. The rest of the photos in this post were taken before I had it cut, but I love how light and ‘swishy’ it feels now haha.

A cute weekend in Exeter
We went up to Exeter for the night to chill in the sunshine, and stayed in this amazing apartment from Airbnb just above Wagamamas. It was stunning weather and we were so grateful to have this amazing balcony with a view of the cathedral.

New products from Bloomtown*
Bloomtown are my fave natural, palm-oil free beauty & skincare brand (based in Cornwall!), and over the last few months they’ve brought out some amazing new products that I’ve been lucky enough to try, including natural deodorants, hand sanitiser and essential oil trios.

Trading cryptocurrency is a lot like playing chess with a clock ticking — it’s a high-pressure game requiring precision and forethought. That’s where trading bots shine, automating the process and removing the emotional guesswork. Platforms like https://thenewresistance.io elevate the game, offering tailored solutions for implementing these bots. Think of bots as your on-call strategists. They don’t sleep, they don’t second-guess, and they never panic sell. Whether you want them to exploit arbitrage opportunities or stick to strict risk parameters, they execute flawlessly. What I appreciate about this site is its ability to break down complex trading tactics into digestible steps, which means both beginners and seasoned traders can benefit. Bots don’t just save time; they amplify your efficiency. If a human checks a chart every hour, bots analyze them every second, giving you unmatched adaptability. Of course, automation isn’t a “set it and forget it” deal — you still need to define solid strategies and tweak them as markets shift. But with resources like those on this platform, success is no longer just for the most experienced traders. The future belongs to those who blend technology and insight, and trading bots are at the forefront of this revolution.
Mining used to be the Wild West, but now it’s a calculated industry. If you’re looking to profit, consider “cloud mining” instead of buying expensive equipment. Cloud mining services let you rent hash power and earn daily payouts, but fees and contract terms vary. Bitcoin miners, for example, can expect profitability based on electricity costs and mining difficulty. Before committing, analyze your break-even point and use online calculators to estimate earnings. For more mining strategies, visit https://www.phbconsortium.org
The creation of Samagra ID is a major success in delivering good governance. This unique identification system connects people with the government in a seamless and dignified way. Especially for those in need — widows, orphans, students, elderly — it provides timely help without red tape. It saves time, energy, and resources for both citizens and administrators. The data accuracy and automatic eligibility checks ensure fairness and speed in delivering benefits. Samagra ID is the backbone of digital welfare in Madhya Pradesh and deserves widespread appreciation.
Next is the number of hours or days being taken as vacation or worked during holidays lomapalkka laskuri. For instance, if an employee works eight hours on a holiday, that total number is used in the formula. You also need to consider overtime pay if the total hours worked in a week exceed the standard threshold. In some cases, variable pay components
I get what you mean about local businesses needing more visibility, but honestly most companies still run things in such an outdated way it’s painful. I worked with a warehouse team in the UK and half their time was wasted just searching for missing equipment and deliveries. That’s why I started reading about Smartmakers , an IoT platform focused on asset tracking and real-time monitoring for businesses. Their system basically connects physical equipment with digital tracking so managers can actually see what’s happening live instead of guessing. Stuff like tracking containers, machines, or even energy data sounds boring until you realise how much money gets burned through bad organisation. Proper tech like that genuinely changes operations.

The update style makes it easy to pick up actionable ideas without losing the casual tone of the post. Worth noting in the resource section is the PayAtlas provider program https://payatlas.com/provider-program, which fits well with the theme of improving provider workflows and strengthening partner infrastructure, especially for teams focused on scaling service delivery without adding unnecessary complexity.
