The last 3 months have probably been the busiest times I’ve ever had!
I’m not complaining – it’s a great thing! I’ve done so many things and been blogging so much about places I’ve been staying and eating, and experiences I’ve been having, that doing a ‘monthly faves/roundup’ style post just hasn’t been a priority at all.
I’ve also been questioning the blogging space as a whole recently… like, does anyone actually sit down and read through blogs anymore like they used to? I know I’ve completely stopped doing that! I’ve changed the way I consume content, so I assume other people have too.
I’m finding that people are using my blog as a resource about Cornwall (which is amazing!!), rather than ‘as an insight into my life’. It means that my more personal/chatty/random posts don’t particularly have a place here anymore, which I’m totally fine with! However, I still also use this blog as a journal/diary that I look back on now and then, so these posts will still appear occasionally, but mostly for myself :)
1. The beautiful weather & finally kayaking at Durgan
We have really had some extraordinary weather over the past couple of months, and what better way to enjoy it than getting into the water? Olivia and I both grabbed the opportunity over weekend we both had free to finally tick off something I’ve wanted to do for ages – kayak off Durgan/Grebe beach! The water was absolutely stunning, and it was great to see my favourite beach from another perspective too.
2. This delicious vegan lemon drizzle
I rarely do any kind of baking at all, but last month I was feeling in the mood for something sweet and had the urge to try a new recipe. I found this vegan lemon cake one on Pinterest and set to work – it was super tasty and I think it looked kinda pretty too :)
3. A Week at Center Parcs, Longleat
As a belated birthday present for Alex, we spent a week at Longleat Center Parcs with his family. The weather was amazing and we had a great time! I think my parents took me when I was like 2 years old but obviously I can’t remember, so this was a totally new experience for me. A full 4 days of cycling, playing badminton, bowling, archery, lazer clay pigeon shooting, swimming and more! It was just amazing to have all that time to be active.
4. We booked a photoshoot trip to Ibiza!
Olivia and I are finally going abroad together! I’m so excited that we’ve booked 5 days in June to head to Ibiza – not for partying, but for photoshoots. I have never been, but have heard wonderful things about the stunning coastline, beaches and wilderness of this country and I can’t wait to explore and take a billion photos together.
5. Love Saves the Day Festival
To kick off festival season, the gang headed to Bristol for LSTD festival! Covered in gemstones, glitter and sequins, we danced the night away. Acts included High Contrast, Andy C and Sampha as headliner (who was incredible!).
6. Amazing blog collaborations
The last few months have been incredible for blog collaborations. I feel so lucky to have had all the opportunities I’ve had recently – getting to work with places like The Scarlet, Talland Bay Hotel, Bedruthan Hotel and Spa and more, and collaborating with brands such as Barbour and IKEA!
I for one still read blogs and yours is one of my favourites so keep the personal posts coming! I also love reading the Cornwall content and your post on The Scarlet has made me look into booking a trip there :)
Ahhhh you guys will love Ibiza!! We used to go a lot as a family to the quieter side of the island and it was so beautiful and such a friendly and chilled island to spend time on! Alice xxx

I’m a blog reader! I like the personal elements, it makes each blog unique. It also feels like it’s a person behind it and not just a guidebook. Having said that, I started reading yours because I googled “Cornwall blog” and this was the first one I liked. So keep covering the Cornwall life stuff too please!
I loved the non-San An parts of Ibiza (ie, most of the island). It’s beautiful and largely unspoilt. We were based near the north coast, but with a car you can get to the south coast in an hour. I was about to recommend a photographer friend who lives in Ibiza, but then I realised you’re going with your own photographer friend! D’oh!
