5 Cornish bloggers walk into a bar…
…Well, actually it’s a teashop/cafe/vintage cocktail bar called Bone China in the city of Truro – and it’s delightful!
After several weeks of organising and trying to find a good date for everybody, I finally landed on a time and place in which I could force a group of Cornwall-based recluses bloggers into meeting face-to-face!
I jest; indeed we all concurred that it was about time for us all to put a face to a name (or in most cases, a real-life face to a selfie).
And so, whittled down to just 5 of us (August is a busy time of year y’know), we enjoyed a rather delightful afternoon tea together in one of Truro’s finest new establishments; Bone China.
Introductions were made, mocktails were ordered, and (as you can imagine), many miniature sandwiches were devoured swiftly, before moving on to the feast of sweet treats and cupcakes before us.
Although I did pre-warn the lovely ladies at Bone China that this would be a blogger meetup, I’m not sure anyone was prepared for our small-yet-mighty DSLR-brandishing, Instagram-obsessed group. But hey, who wouldn’t go photo-crazy for this adorable place?
If you don’t know where to look, this tiny vintage-style cafe/bar is hard to find. Nestled away on Little Castle Street in Truro, I’d like to confirm that it is the perfect place for a special high tea.
Remember to contact Bone China before you go if there’s more than 4 of you though, as there is limited space, and it’s polite to give a heads up for larger groups anyway!
Of course, an obligatory group photo had to occur, but I’m currently waiting to steal this photo from Alex (hint, hint Alex)!
I had an absolutely lovely time finally meeting these girls, chatting about Cornish stereotypes and meteor showers.
