I’ve recently started using Etsy a lot more, as I believe there’s truly nothing better than a handmade gift.
Since I’m into celebrating local, Cornish artisans and crafters, I thought I’d do a bit of research and find some fellow Cornishmen and women on Etsy while looking for Mother’s Day gifts. Here are the gems:
I bought this cute little number from Andshine on Etsy to give to my mum for Mother’s Day. Georgina is based in Penzance and is apparently planning to open a shop there soon. Her designs are awesome; I’m very tempted by some of her other Scandinavian-inspired designs too…
Um, how cool are these?? The guy who sells them lives in the same town as me, and I just can’t believe I’ve never seen them before. I think I may need to get one to wear to a festival or something…
The designs on Sew Coastal are great; I particularly like the one above, because that is exactly the sort of description I would give the stuff scattered around in my handbag.
These lamps are so unique and beautiful, and I just can’t believe that someone can do this by hand. I wish I could afford one!
I love the quirky designs from Kitsch Attic; aren’t the animal drawings sweet? Definitely on my list of places to look for gifts.
The large collection from Weldon bags look stylish and high quality, and I will definitely be investing in one once my trusty H&M sack fails on me.
Awww my word, these are all so gorgeous. I love Etsy, and it has become my thing to do when I’m bored at work. Whoops. I will definitely follow your shop :) Jas x

Hehe thank you! :) Etsy is a brilliant time waster…x
It is great to support the local artists in the area. I often look up Cornwall designers on etsy. Have you ever been to the roundhouse at sennon?
Ooh no I haven’t; sounds intriguing! I’ll look it up and maybe I’ll be able to get down there in the summer to check it out :) x
If you do, you won’t regret it!! If you walk along the beach front you will see it, this curious little roundhouse that only has local artists in it. Amazing…also, keep walking and you end up on the coastal path to Lands End and there is this cool shipwreck there. I love that walk a lot!
that’s another great selection Anna – good work!
Thanks David, glad you enjoyed it! :)
