Current Obsession: 50s Fashion
A-line skirts, cigarette trousers and incredible waistlines. What’s not to love?
Okay, so recently I have been binge-watching the TV series ‘Mad Men‘ like….well, a mad man. I’m addicted, and not only because of the brilliant story lines and hilarious ironic attacks on the advertising industry.
I’m in love with the fashion.

Now I do realise that ‘Mad Men’ is set in the early 60s, but many of the women in the show (including the utterly fabulous Betty Draper pictured above) are still sporting some iconic 50s styles. Upon doing more research, I’ve found that it’s my new favourite fashion era! Here’s why:
I’ve just ordered my first A-line midi skirt (something that was apparently in fashion this Spring…who knew?). I can’t wait to see if I suit the 50s/Betty Draper look! I’m not sure I quite have the waistline to match, but fingers crossed.

The high waisted A-line skirt is just a dreamy piece, and I’m yet to be convinced of a body shape it doesn’t suit! I know full well you will look gorgeous in it! Lots of flaunting photos please!!

I am also extremely in love with that pale blue one on Boohoo, but I’ve never suited pale blue and never will (damn my pale skin!). Thanks so much though Annabel :) Will hopefully get a few photos of it this week (along with my new short hair…which reminds me loads of your hair by the way haha!) x
