I can count the number of pizzas I’ve eaten between now & the last Friday Faves on TWO HANDS.
That either tells you it’s been far too long since I’ve done a fortnightly round up of favourite things, OR it has revealed a rather disturbing insight into my dietary choices. Neither is great tbh.
Anyway, enough about pizzas; on with the show:
1. Being featured in the Ultimate Cornwall website
This brand new online guide to Cornwall’s most beautiful places makes for great reading on a Friday evening when you have no idea what to do at the weekend – you’re welcome ;)
2. All the Autumnal nature walks
This October was well and truly the best October ever; so much sun, and so many beautiful Autumnal days to spend exploring! We’ve been enjoying the Trelissick Gardens walk near Truro, and of course plenty of strolls on the beach and Portreath cliffs.
3. The UK Independent (mostly organic/vegan/natural) Shop Guide
I’ve featured Sophie’s guide before on here but I’mma share it again because 1) it’s amazing and 2) she keeps it updated regularly, so you gotta stay on top of these things. Bookmark this on your laptop and throw mega hints at your other half for Christmas…
4. Dressing up Pepper for Halloween
Mwahaha, Pepper wasn’t getting away with an embarrassment free Halloween this year – no sir. Luckily I stumbled across this ridiculous pair of bat wings from Poundland, so it had to be done.
If you like a good rant post, this is the one. I too am totally fed up with being told that by having a simpler skincare routine I will be able to save money and live a more minimalist, effortless life or whatever-the-heck. For those of us with genetically-awful skin, this just isn’t an option!
6. BLACK MIRROR!
Couldn’t write a faves post without mentioning this. If you have Netflix and a passion for dystopian/futurist/social commentary dramas and thrillers, you need to watch these.
I look forward to the new series of short films (originally written by Charlie Brooker and produced by Channel 4) each year and this year didn’t disappoint after the move to Netflix. For the bloggers out there, episode 1 was particularly reminiscent of SEO but for humans, so check it out!
What were your favourite things from October?
