This summer is hotting up with loads of events and happenings in Cornwall, now that lockdown restrictions have eased!
If you’re down here on holiday looking for things to do, or you’re a Cornish local wanting the lowdown of what’s going on, I’ve put together a list of some awesome events and activities that are happening over the next couple of months.
It’s so nice to finally be able to get outside with friends and enjoy food, dancing and gathering again!
Or if you’re looking for a general list of ideas for your next Cornwall adventure, check out my ‘ultimate Cornish bucket list’ post with over 100+ things to do.
Go to an outdoor drive-in cinema at sunset
I’ve never been to a drive-in movie before so I am incredibly excited about this! Wavelength mag have set up the ‘Wavelength Drive-in Cinema’ on the cliffs at Watergate bay, overlooking the ocean and it looks amazing. What an incredible setting to watch your fave films! They have a great range of different screenings, from surf films to family friendly, and cult classic too, at different times throughout the day through summer.

Dance under the stars at Skybar
I love going to Skybar every year, although sadly this year I couldn’t make the rearranged dates (and have ended up getting COVID on the weekend we were supposed to be going anyway!) BUT there are still tickets left for some of their other sessions around Cornwall and beyond. It’s a super fun mini-festival for the night!
Food, drink and dancing at Rock Oyster Festival
Again I’m not able to go this weekend (thanks COVID!) but the music line-up looks great (Sophie Ellis Bextor – yass!) and of course you know the food will be incredible, with chef demos, foraging walks, wine tastings and much more.

Join the Joules beach clean roadshow
Lifestyle brand, Joules, have organised a series of beach clean events up and down Cornwall this summer as a great way to get the whole family involved in keeping our Cornish beaches safe. It’s free to come along, but be sure to book tickets so that you can join in the ‘Seashore Safari’ too, delivered by the Marine Conservation Society’s ‘Sea Champions’.
Get Ibiza vibes at The Watering Hole
There’s nothing like dancing the night away with sandy feet at Perranporth’s bar / music venue on the dunes! The Watering Hole has loads of live music events happening all summer, including their Ibiza sessions which look like so much fun!

Try luxury glamping at The Wyldes’ pop-up campsite
The past year has been really tough on events businesses, but the creators of Leopallooza festival and Live in the Wyldes have found an awesome way to transform their space into a new pop-up campsite! The site will be maintaining its festival vibes with pop-up music events and food vendors, and also offers a luxury glamping area too, featuring a selection of boutique bell tents.
Let loose at Boardmasters Festival
I have two years worth of missed Boardmasters to get out of my system! Not only was last year cancelled because of COVID, the year before was cancelled (the night before!) due to bad weather, so we are praying for some luck for this year. Camping tickets are sold out now, but grab yourself a day ticket if you can as there are some amazing headliners this year, including Gorillaz, The Kooks, Jorja Smith and more!
Visit the Boardmasters website.
Join Paul Ainsworth’s Travelling Feast
This festival road show is set to bring artists like Rudimental, Gabrielle, The Feeling, Faithless and much more to its different sites across Cornwall; it looks amazing! And of course the foodie line-up looks incredible too, with top chefs such as Paul himself, Angela Hartnett, Niall Keating and more cooking up a storm throughout the events.

Falmouth Week & Fireworks
Falmouth Week is going ahead! With pop-up events happening in town throughout the week, you don’t want to miss the sailing and of course the fireworks on the evening of Friday 13th.

Go crazy at Great Estate Festival
I love Great Estate Festival – it’s one of my faves! There are so many quirky and fun happenings throughout the weekend, with secret gardens (and how can we forget the hidden silent disco!), comedy and music entertainment, this festival is awesome for families and people of all ages.
