Frenchies at the beach

Frenchie Family at the Beach

Having celebrated our romance the previous week, we chose to spend Valentines weekend at the beach with Pepper, and had a Frenchie meetup!

We like to keep in touch with Pepper’s breeder, and occasionally meet up with them to let the dogs have a reunion. The breeder owns the mum (Bella), and also kept one of the pups from the litter (Betty).

This weekend we met with them, and also another one of the pups (Patch), now owned by the breeder’s parents (he was their Christmas present!).

It’s so nice to get them all together, so they can still be with their family, and there’s nothing Frenchie’s like better than a race around the beach! Luckily, Perranporth is huge so they had plenty of space.

Isn’t Pepper’s brother Patch adorable?

It was a little bit of chaos but a whole lot of fun! We can’t wait for them to be a bit older so we can spend a bit longer at the beach each time. We were only there for an hour and Pepper was so tired she refused to walk back to the car! I guess she is only 4 months old…

    1. Aw thank you! Yeah I think we are really lucky to have found a pup so close to us, and also that the breeder really cares about the dogs and wants to watch them grow up, rather than just doing it for the money.

  1. Soo adorable! We go on big group walks with other springer spaniel owners – the dogs have an absolute ball!

    1. Awh that sounds great! I’d love to find more frenchie owners in Cornwall; then we could do a big group walk like that, would be so funny. x

  2. Oh my goodness, look at all of the Frenchies! It’s a cuteness overload!

That’s so nice that you were able to keep in touch with the breeder and your pup’s family. :) And there are definitely worse ways to spend a day at the beach!

    1. Hehe definitely! We went again today, but just me and Pepper; it’s a lot of fun until she bounds enthusiastically over to families with young toddlers. She’s only small but very strong and lively, and I’m always worried she’ll knock them over. On the plus side, it’s lots of good exercise for me running after her all the time! x
