This is more like favourites from the whole month of November, because I’ve been so crap at posting.
I feel like I’ve really neglected this blog over the past few weeks. I’ve still been trying to post at least once a week, but overall I’ve been pretty busy in other areas.
Mainly, I’ve been working hard at self-employed life, and I’ve been focusing more on my business. I also have a business/marketing blog over there too, where I post weekly, so that takes a lot of time and effort.
BUT I missed this ol’ place. It’s where I can really be myself and say what the heck I like, which is great for mid-week rants and general ‘get-stuff-out-of-my-head’-ness.
Alright, I’ll shut up. Here’s what I’ve enjoyed this month:
- Being mentioned by the lovely Annabel in this blog post
Annabel, of Brainfood, was featured on Wooden Windowsills this week, and bless her, she mentioned me as one of her favourite blogs! Such warm fuzzies <3 - Putting the Christmas decorations up… 2 days early
Oops. I wasn’t going to tell anyone that I did this, but hey, what a guilty pleasure! With the 1st December landing midweek, I couldn’t contain my excitement for 1 week more. Plus we’re going away next week so I’ll be missing out on a good 5 days of decorated-house-ness then.
- Our foraging & feasting trip
This day course was N’s birthday present, and I have to say it’s definitely one of the highlights of my year (along with Florence obvs). Miraculously, the weather was amazing that day, which seems a total blessing since the rest of November has been a load of crap. - Printing my own Christmas cards!
I designed my own Christmas cards and got them printed so I can send them to my friends & family. And guess who the design is of… - This incredible post about Self Improvement
I sat and read this intently for an hour, wishing I could absorb every sentence into my brain, but alas, I forgot most of it by the next day. Perhaps a good memory is the real key to success… - Discovering 2 new awesome dog walks nearby!
Both of which are sheltered and not at all muddy, which is exactly what I needed! (Spoiler: 1 is the walk around Carn Brea, and 2 is the King George V memorial walk in Hayle). - Connecting with some pretty cool, local business-ladies on a Facebook Group
I’m part of the Facebook Group ‘Freedom Hackers Mastermind‘, and last week I posted asking who else was from the UK (it’s mostly US people on there), and I was swamped with responses. Amongst the chatter, I connected with a few local women (Cornwall & South West) and am looking forward to collaborating with them in the future!
And that kinda rounds up November for me. It’s mainly just been full of wind and rain, so not much to report on. Hopefully December will be a bit more eventful!
Your Christmas cards are just the cutest! I love them x

A foraging trip sounds really interesting and definitely something different too!
I think you win the competition for most adorable Christmas card design too.
Yay! Thank you so much, I am truly honoured to win :P
The foraging trip was awesome… cold and windy, but awesome! x
