Pens, Dens & Blogging Friends (Friday Favourites #10)
I’ve decided that fort-nightly ‘Friday Favourites’ posts will be best.
It’s the sweet spot between not having enough to list in just one week, and having too much to list for a whole month. Not that you care, I’m just sayin’.
The last 2 weeks have been decidedly awesome and I’m feeling weirdly optimistic about the future; this is not normal! I guess I’m just feeling in a good place with work and friends and this ol’ blog right here.
Anyway, on to the faves!
1. My new baby, the Olympus Pen
A bit of an investment for this blog and my new YouTube channel, I’ve been loving getting used to my new Olympus Pen (aka, the typical white girl/blogger camera). All I need now is a latte in my hand and a French Bulldog… oh wait.
2. How to Build the Perfect Den
I love reading Hannah’s posts each week, but this one was seriously on point. Her guide to building the ultimate adult indoor den is hilarious and also useful, because y’know this is definitely gonna happen come Autumn.
3. Cornish blogger BBQ times
One of my favourite moments of the last couple of weeks was setting up a barbecue at Gylly beach with our lovely group of local bloggers and their partners – can’t wait to do it again! (PS. If you’re ever in the market for the best mojito ever, see Alice!)
4. When your life feels like a microwaved croquette
Rosie’s piece about her feelings after the EU referendum seriously resonated with my own thoughts about not being able to control life, and having to deal with what you got served in life. It encouraged me to publish my own ramble about the whole thing!
5. I got featured in Sainsbury’s Magazine!
Another super cool moment for me this week was seeing my feature in Sainsbury’s Magazine for their Best of British guide for Cornwall. *Much excite*!
6. 10 things every blogger says (vs what they actually mean)
I don’t necessarily say some of these myself, but if you read a lot of big fashion/lifestyle blogs like I do this may make you chuckle. There’s something about candid posts like this that make my day!
7. A beautiful wedding invitation <3
Last Friday evening I was handed the most beautiful of handmade wedding invitations and it gave me all the feelings! I feel honoured to be invited to such an important day and I can’t wait to celebrate with this gorgeous couple.
