I think multi-purpose furniture may be my favourite thing ever.
It’s not breaking news by any means; everyone knows multi-purpose furniture is epic, and most people probably own at least one thing in their home that has more than one purpose (if you don’t, you’re missing out and wasting space like nobody’s business). Here are a few examples of things in my home:
- My sofa/double bed/storage
A ridiculous amount of people own the very same sofa. Watch the magic in action on YouTube! - My bed/storage
Ikea’s finest lift-up storage of course! Makes a great secret hiding place too… - My chair/single bed
Y’know the cheap ones from Argos? Kinda crappy, but still dual-purpose! It’s also a dog bed in my house. - My bathroom mirror/cupboard
I’m sure I’m not unique in this. Maximising storage in tiny bathrooms is a must!
Pretty amateur, I know. But I’m slowly becoming the type of person who will actually refuse to buy something if it only does one thing…Here are some incredible examples of multi-purpose furniture that I would LOVE in my home:
Pardon my French, but HOLY SHIIIIIIT I *need* everything on that list. I live in a tiny terraced house that is currently awash with my son’s toys. Seriously. It’s a baby’s house. It does not look as if two functioning…well, semi-functioning people in their late 20’s live here. Seriously. Send help.
The best piece of furniture I ever bought…that’s a tricky one. Most of my furniture is a hand-me-down of some sort, but I have a cheapo bookcase I bought years ago and despite not being overly nice to look at it has served me well. The poor thing is straining under the weight of my book collecting but I just can’t bring myself to replace it. Financial reasons aside, I’m actually kind of attached to it!

To be fair, I love our bookcase too. It’s just one of those cube Ikea ones but it looks so neat and tidy haha. xx
Our coffee table has storage and it is a godsend!!! But all of these ideas are amazing.
Ah I’d love a storage coffee table! I’ve just got a £5 Ikea one at the moment haha x
Wow! i love the Sofa/craft storage, i really could do with this..Might put it on my wish list for next year.. x
Actually no matter if someone doesn’t know then its up

Choosing the best materials for your vanity is crucial for durability. Bathrooms are humid and contain a lot of moisture. The wrong material could cause vanity to crack or collapse. Make sure you choose a material that won’t require regular sealing or maintenance. Also, consider the weight of the vanity, as well as any decorative pieces. You will need to ensure that the laminate vanity can support the added weight of any decorative pieces.
