Merry Christmas! (Blogger’s Xmas Lunch at Alverton Hotel)

In a celebration of 2016’s great friendships, we gathered everyone together for a Christmas lunch at the Alverton Hotel in Truro.

I’d never have thought when I started my blog nearly 2 years ago that it’d lead to making these amazing friendships, but I’m so happy that it has brought all of us together – our little Cornish crew is awesome (not everyone could make it to this lunch; but y’all know you are!).

Many of us ‘Cornwall bloggers’ work part time or freelance, so wouldn’t in normal circumstances have a work’s Christmas meal/party to go to. Alex and I discussed this earlier in the year, and she suggested we should all just have our own meal together!

The Alverton Hotel and restaurant in Truro put on delicious festive spreads over Christmas, so we booked a private room with them to host our lunch…and what’s better than a Christmas dinner in an old country manor house?

As I write this, I’m truly stuffed to the brim with all the amazing food they provided, and of course the vat of mulled wine too! It was truly lovely to be surrounded by friends and wish everyone a Merry Christmas before the busy pre-crimbo week ahead – thanks all for coming!
