Minimalism & Turmeric Lattes (Friday Favourites #20)
The first favourites list of 2017, and it’s the satisfyingly round number of 20!
Sometimes life just works out perfectly.
It’s been nearly a month since my last favourites list, so I feel like I have a lot to share. There’s nothing wrong with feeling grateful and happy about loads of stuff, right? It’s nice to remind myself of these things during crappy January.
1. Minimalism (the documentary)
I’ve been following The Minimalists’ blog for a year or so, and was really excited to watch their documentary when it hit Netflix. It’s inspiring to watch and see the different ways people live, happily and contently, with less. Definitely worth a watch!
2. Sian’s ‘Thank You’ Biscuits
I absolutely loved Sian’s idea of making ‘thank you’ biscuits after Christmas, instead of sending thank you cards as I usually do each year. I’ll definitely be remembering this one for next year – it’s such a sweet gesture and something people will enjoy more than a bit of card.

3. Helping family move house
In December, N’s brother and his fiance moved into their home a few minutes down the road from us! We helped (a little) and provided moral support and pasties throughout the moving in process, but it’s just been so nice spending more time with them now that they live closer!
4. Turmeric Lattes
It started with a quick indulgence in Archie Browns in Truro, but now I’m hooked! I’ve been making these at home now (though they’re not quite as good as the AB version!) and it’s made my afternoons feel warm and comforting. I’ve been using this recipe from Health Ambition.

5. Time to make a ‘stop doing list’
I really enjoyed reading this article on Living Well & Spending Less about making yourself a ‘stop doing list’. So as well as setting goals for 2017, let’s take some things off our plate to make room, by cutting out bad habits!
6. This French Bulldog pin!! (And all my lovely Christmas gifts)
I received so many lovely gifts from friends and family this year, so thank you to everyone who spoilt me! However I just had to feature this particular gift (courtesy of Hannah) because LOOK AT IT <3 It’s too cute not to blog about!

7. Getting ready for our holiday!
The countdown has begun, folks! Whilst I’m kind of apprehensive about the long-haul flight (last time I did one of those I was 5, and can barely remember it!), I’m extremely excited to get some sun and happy feels in my life!
What were your highlights of the month?

Yaaaaaay holiday! Can’t wait to see the photos from it! Ooh turmeric latte is something I’m yet to try, but I have done quite a lot of reading into the benefits of turmeric and it’s such an amazing spice! Alice xxx
