I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay in many beautiful hotels, holiday properties, glamping sites and more here in Cornwall – sharing them all in my ‘where to stay in Cornwall’ section of the blog – and I thought I’d make a shortlist of places I’ve felt bring something totally unique to your stay!
Stay in a Mongolian Yurt at Fir Hill Glamping
Inside these gorgeous Mongolian style yurts you’ll find proper beds, a stove, rugs, mirrors and all the essentials for a luxurious glamping stay, plus an off-grid outdoor kitchen space too. We had the best time enjoying the beautiful estate here in the summer, and staying in a yurt in Cornwall is a very unique way to visit.

Stay in a renovated 18th century prison at Bodmin Jail Hotel
Bodmin Jail is well known as a popular attraction for visitors to come and learn about its dark past, but next door is the stunning renovated Bodmin Jail Hotel that will blow you away with it’s incredible original features. A totally memorable and unique experience to come and stay here!

Stay in a converted vintage Horsebox from Unique Hideaways
Unique Hideaways has a website full of amazing one-of-a-kind places to stay around the UK and Cornwall, including Lady Oakley – a converted vintage horsebox that you can ‘glamp’ in near to St. Ives! With its boho, rustic interiors and incredible location, this one is definitely full of quirkiness.

The Ekopod Cornwall site is perfectly situated in the peaceful countryside, surrounded by deer and clear starry skies! Stay in one of their safari tents like we did, or try one of their unique geodome pods that will allow you to stargaze all night long.

Stay in a colonial themed hotel at The Colonial at Tolcarne Beach
The Colonial is a collection of themed rooms at Tolcarne Beach, overlooking the ocean and decorated immaculately so that you’re instantly transported to somewhere exotic like the Caribbean when you enter your room. We loved it here and you can’t beat the views & proximity to the beach!
