I can now finally say I’ve tried paddle boarding – yay!
I’ve been wanting to try paddle boarding for ages, and it was on my ‘bucket list’ to do last Summer…but apparently I did absolutely nothing last Summer except look after our ill-at-the-time dog, so I’m so glad I’ve finally tried it now. Watch the vlog below:
I was slightly concerned that I’d fall off (I didn’t though – impressed?), especially as it was right on the edge of being too windy that day. Once I got into the swing of things it was very relaxing, and I’m now dying to go again!
Afterwards, we went into Falmouth town for some delicious vegan dinner at Wildebeest; a restaurant I’ve previously mentioned in my best places to find vegan food in Cornwall post. I featured it there because everybody raves about it, but this was the first time I’d personally tried it.
And I was not disappointed.
We both opted for the chilli bean stew with cashew cheese corn and tortilla wraps – totally yummy!
Obviously I had to go for the incredible chocolate torte (made with coconut oil for extra decadence, of course).
The place is adorably small with only a few tables, so (according to Olivia) you absolutely need to book if you want to bag a seat; it’s pretty popular!
After our meal and suitably stuffed, we went for a little stroll around the harbour, making the most of what turned out to be a beautiful evening.
^ Too awkward for a decent photo as usual, but hey, the harbour is a much prettier view anyway right?
I had such a nice day despite a bit of wind and rain, and I can’t wait to do more paddle boarding throughout Summer now that I’m almost confident at actually standing up on the damn thing!
