If you’re looking for a delicious new eatery to stumble upon in St. Ives, you need to check out SILCo!
After visiting a couple of times and raving about it, Olivia insisted on a lunch trip to SILCo in St. Ives last month, and I’m so glad we did! 😍
I absolutely LOVE visiting St. Ives in winter (it’s so much less crowded and hectic!), and we were lucky with some glorious sunshine for our lunch date as well. Olivia was down for a few days in Cornwall so it was the perfect day for us to catch up (on all things wedding planning related!) and try out somewhere new to eat as well.
Where is SILCo?
SILCo Bar & Kitchen sits right on the edge of St. Ives harbour on ‘The Wharf’, with seating outside overlooking the beach and boats. There are also tables indoors and the space has a cool, relaxed vibe.
It’s perfect positioning in St. Ives, with The Island car park just behind, and just one road along from all the best independent shops to explore as well. Not to mention being right on the beach/ocean!
What is ‘SILCo’?
SILCo stands for ‘St. Ives Liquor Co’ – the creators behind St. Ives Gin! Yes, the brand also makes its own Cornish gin and liquors, alongside running SILCo Bar & Kitchen and their other restaurant (just a few doors down) – The Searoom.
I’m yet to visit here but it is now firmly on the list!
The Food
SILCo specialises in small plates and a modern tapas-y vibe of food – all of exceptional quality. Olivia couldn’t stop raving about the Singapore Crab Fries, so we got some of those (along with some Truffle Parmesan fries for me – omg these were GOOD!).
Alongside that to fill out our lunch, I also opted for the Burrata with pesto, capers & hazelnuts, and Olivia added Sri Lankan lentil fritters with a coconut yogurt dip to her choice.
Each dish was SO good, and I loved the cute crockery it was all served on too.
It was the perfect lunch and I can’t recommend enough for something a bit different but amazing quality too.
