TV Hits, Friend Dates & French Toast (Friday Faves 17)
Can we just talk about the weather like stereotypical British weirdo’s for a sec?
HOW BEAUTIFUL have these past few mornings been? Seriously, words can’t describe how perfect our early morning jaunts to the beach have become. I’m in love with October (#NewFaveMonth?).
Now that’s out the way, let’s get on to some things that have brightened my fortnight a wee bit:
1. Brioche & coconut French toast
Yes you heard right. This may or may not be the best breakfast creation ever, so thank you very much Team LC, you utter babes. It also received N’s stamp of approval in the form of an empty plate, so that’s somethin’ too!

2. National Treasure/Marc Munden in general
Not exactly a ‘brightening’ TV show, but damn good all the same. If you haven’t seen the 4-part Channel 4 drama, go check it out on All4 right now, because it was brilliant. Producer, Marc Munden, also directed Utopia – which is possibly my favourite British drama of all time. He has a truly epic style of filmmaking.
3. Having a rants about sucky health issues with friends
I have had not one, but two impromptu health rants over the past week and it makes me feel extremely appreciative to have such wondeful, understanding friends who fully know what it’s like to be on far too many medications.
4. Pepper’s happy little face
As you know, it was Pepper’s 2nd birthday on Monday, and as such, I have been posting about her here on the blog all week. Because of the great weather, she’s been thoroughly enjoying herself – just look at the face <3

5. Feeling inspired late at night
Last night I found myself having a midnight brainstorm session with myself, because creativity gives no sh*ts about your desire to sleep. Which is fine, because I felt pretty proud of my over-productive brain and have been on a motivation high all day today!
6. Friend dates that don’t involve drinking
I feel like this infographic may have been made for me! Now I just need a similar one that says ’10 Friend Dates that Don’t Involve Spending Money’….

7. Buying the first Christmas gift of the season!
It was totally by accident, I promise! I’m not actually insanely organised about Christmas shopping, just good at finding spot on gifts for people. Alice, this one is for you! ;)
What’s been the highlight of your fortnight?

Yay for friends who can talk about other friends health problems! ? And I love friend dates without drinks woohoo!
Haha oh yeah that list literally was made for you!! :) xx
You’re so right the weather right now is on point! The beautiful sunsets/sunrises are gorgeous and I find October is the perfect inbetween from ‘cold enough I can snuggle up in cosy jumpers and a coat’ and not overheat and not so cold I need to basically bring my microwaveable teddy around with me everywhere I go!
I love getting random spurts of inspiration and this infographic is perfect – I love casual meet ups like these that don’t break the bank or leave me feeling rough the next day!
You are so organised! I can’t wait to start Christmas shopping but have absolutely no ideas (or money, or time! Oops!)

Wooaaaaaa hang on, did I just read that correctly. The FIRST Christmas pressie you’ve bought is for ME?! Eeeeeeee :D I’ve been crap at keeping up this month so I’m only just going through all my emails telling me all about everyone’s lovely posts! YES! Excited! Alice xxx
P.S ~Free friend dates are very much needed right now. This no spending, buying a house malarky is tricky and very boring!
