There’s nothing like a beautiful lakeside Sunday walk followed by brunch.
I haven’t been to Stithians lake for ages, but when Olivia and I decided we were due for a lunch & dog walk date, I suggested we head here as I’d heard that Wild Vibes had recently opened up a new cafe at the watersports center here. I’ve been to their other location at Argal reservoir near Penryn before and loved their food, so I was excited to try their new site!
Luckily, we arrived at the lake just during a break in the storm to some beautiful sunshine and blue waters. It’s ridiculous how many storms there have been lately, and although I’ve missed a bit of it whilst on our trip to Japan in February, all the mud, wind and unpredictable hail showers are still grinding on me.
But we managed to time this well and the dogs got a good long walk and opportunity to stretch their legs around the lake (you can see Pepper speeding around having zoomies in the photo above 🙈).
Just as the clouds starting to come, we made it back to the watersports center where the new Wild Vibes cafe is located and headed inside with the dogs.
I was very happily surprised to see a Matcha Latte on the drinks menu! I hadn’t tried matcha before until we went to Japan and quickly fell in love with everything matcha flavoured while we were there, so I was super excited that this little cafe could enable me to continue my obsession since coming back to Cornwall 😍.
Wild Vibes are known for their love of plant based food and vegan friendly / gluten free options, so Olivia chose their vegan brunch while I went for the homemade frittata. Both were served with delicious salad and hit just the spot for a ‘healthy’, hearty brunch after our walk!
If you’re out and about looking for a nice long dog walk and a delicious all-day brunch to follow, Wild Vibes has got you covered. I’m definitely keen to come back on a weekday and try out their sandwiches too – the halloumi ones look incredible!
