It’s been a beautiful few weeks here in sunny Cornwall!
Spring has well and truly arrived and has blessed us (and the lucky tourists!) with a rain & wind free Easter fortnight. It’s been great, although pretty hard to concentrate on working when I want to get outside in the sun!
1. Behind the scenes with Olivia Bossert
Back in November, I joined Olivia on a photoshoot at Loe Bar for a mixture of moral support, prop carrying, and behind the scenes filming. She hadn’t been able to publish the images until last month, but they’re finally up and they look STUNNING! Go check out her post with all the pics, and take a look at the behind the scenes video I put together to see what goes on during a cold November day shoot:
2. First BBQ of the season
As I said, it’s been super sunny here over the last few weeks, and in our excitement we gathered at N’s brother’s house for our first barbecue of the year. Admittedly it was a little more windy and cold than we had anticipated, and pretty much as soon as we’d eaten our food we hurried quickly back indoors to get warm…but we had a good time. I accidentally deleted the photos I took though – woops!
3. Learning how to style wildflowers
I totally fell in love with Sian from Freckled Fieldnotes’ guide to styling wildflowers; it made me excited to get outside and start foraging for my own floral collections. Her blog and photos are gorgeous, so go check it out!

4. The Ultimate ‘Travel for Free’ Guide
The Hand Luggage Only blog is my go-to place for travel inspiration at the moment; their photos and videos are truly epic, and I love their useful tips and guides too. If you’re looking to get into travelling but don’t have a big budget, check out their 9 easy ways to travel the world for FREE! It will definitely inspire you to get creative…
5. Jenna Marbles’ dog living room <3
This is 100% the best YouTube video I’ve seen in the last couple of months. Jenna Marbles is a bit of a hero of mine, and her and her dogs always put a smile on my face – but this had me both cry-laughing AND wanting to build an under-stairs cupboard for Pepper… in fact you will probably want to build one of these even if you don’t have have a dog tbh:
6. Pepper’s puppy play dates
Talking of puppers, I couldn’t NOT share these pics of Pepper’s new friend, Bowser – our friends’ Newfoundland puppy. They’ve had a couple of play dates in the garden with this good weather and they’re hilarious together. Also he is just the cutest thing I’ve ever laid eyes on <3
What have been the highlights of your month?
