The Cornwall Home Show
This weekend, N and I visited the Cornwall Home Show to get some ideas for doing up our home & garden.
The weather was less than perfect, which was a huge shame for the outdoors exhibitors trying to show off their beautiful conservatories, patios and kit studios! Luckily, there was plenty of things to look at inside…

There was a huge mix of businesses there, selling everything from wood-burning stoves, solar panels, tapestries and lighting solutions.

So many beautiful things, so little money!
In hindsight, I think I knew everything was going to be pretty expensive and that I wouldn’t be able to afford anything. But it certainly helped me to prioritise what’s important!

I think instead of buying little things like cushions and rugs (no matter how beautiful!), I want to focus on getting our garden in shape, and possibly saving up for a nice stove for Winter.

The event is perfect if you’re looking at renovating your home, updating your kitchen, or wanting to add some quirky, vintage furniture to your space, and I think we’ll definitely be looking to come back in a couple of years time when we can afford to renovate our outhouse.
All in all, it was lots of fun for me (a home improvement enthusiast!) to have a peek around at all the beautiful things you add to your home, and all the awesome technology available now.

Why is home stuff so expensive? It is just takes all the fun out of renovating haha. I would love to go to one of these shows though just to get some ideas! xx
It really is :( While it was great to get ideas and inspiration, a lot of the things there were like 3 times more expensive than what you’d pay online, but I suppose that comes with the territory of sourcing things locally! x
I love a good browse- even if everything is really expensive! I bet there were some lovely pieces you could set your sights on for later or even maybe find a cheaper alternative? Did you have to pay to get in? Alice x

I pre-registered online so we got free entry, but if not it would have cost £5. Definitely worth going next year if you’re doing up parts of the house etc. I’m sure had I been seriously interested in something you can probably strike a deal with the exhibitors there :) x
Ooh this is definitely something I’m going to have to go to once me and M settle down! x

It was fun :) shame the weather was awful though! x
This looks like so much fun! Can’t wait to have my own place to start deciding how to decorate it!
