Tehidy woods with Pepper the French Bulldog

Tehidy Woods with Pepper

This weekend was the pinnacle of sunny Autumnal warmth & cosiness here in Cornwall.

I’ll let you in on a little secret – Cornish Octobers are the absolute best. I can’t stress that enough; it’s my favourite month here.

With beautiful still and warm weather, we took to the shade of Tehidy woods for our dog walk with Pepper.

We come for walks here a lot, and recently (with all the crispy leaves and golden Autumn sunshine) I’ve been complaining about leaving my camera at home every time. But no more!

I thought I’d capture some moments (and also a fun video!) of Pepper enjoying her Autumn dog walk, doing all the sniffing, destroying all the sticks, and generally loving life!

There are so many cool mushrooms and fungi out at the moment – we even saw some bright orange ones (though I forgot to take a pic)! Unfortunately Pepper is a dog who likes to eat everything she sees, so we have to keep a good eye out to make sure she isn’t chowing down on any strange fungus!

Gotta destroy them sticks tho.

Funnily enough I used to despise going to the woods when I was a kid/teenager; I didn’t appreciate nature at all, and would kick up a huge fuss if my mum suggested going. At that age, I just wanted to be inside playing Sims or customising my MySpace page… you suck, younger me.

Oh haaaayy

“Oh haaaay!”

^ Soz, just had to include that one!

Obviously I love the woods now, especially seeing how happy it makes my furbaby! Speaking of, I may have put together a fun little video of Pepper’s walk, because – y’know – French Bulldog videos are always cute, right?

What did you get up to at the weekend?

  1. Oh, what a sweetheart! You can just tell how much fun she’s having – look at that smile! :)

My dog loooves to chew up every stick she finds – I’m glad she’s not alone! The only problem is that it makes our walks last about five times as long, so we end up doing a lot of distracting with treats! Haha.

    Lovely post! xx

    1. Sounds exactly like Pepper! I do end up pulling her along most of the time which is a shame but otherwise we wouldn’t get anywhere! X
