Tunes in the Dunes 2018: Cornwall’s Festival on the Sand
I love the fact that Tunes in the Dunes is based literally in the sand dunes of Perranporth!
It’s such a unique setting for a festival and we had a great time last year, so I was so excited to be invited along by Estrella, one of this year’s biggest festival sponsors.
On the Saturday, the weather was totally on side, which meant (of course) we decided to make the most of it with a delicious lunch and a few cocktails at Old Grammar School in Truro.

After our late lunch, we headed over to Perranporth and onto the beach to the festival. With two stages, a VIP area, loads of food stalls and several bars (including an Estrella bar). It’s a relatively small festival in size, but it’s known for pulling some good, large artists as headliners.

This year, acts included Protoje, UB40, Hoosiers, Jake Bugg, Pixie Lott and more! We attended on the Saturday, which was mainly reggae, but there were a few little pop-up DJs around the festival too, like the Red Bull van next to the Estrella bar, who were playing some awesome dance remixes!

We danced and drank into the night, with beers and mixers flowing. The Watering Hole (Perranporth’s bar on the beach, next to the festival) also put on an after party each night after the festival kicks out, so you can stumble along the sand to more music!

We ended up making loads of random friends throughout the festival (as you do when a wee bit tipsy!), and sadly I didn’t take too many photos, but I’ll leave you with this one (I can’t remember the name of this guy on the left, but he was a barman and apparently we made friends with him too!).
Are you heading to Tunes in the Dunes next year?
